General Information about Dance Classes

Lessons are available for dancers aged 3 years to adult. In-person dance classes are offered in three semesters, for both recreational and competitive dancers. Classes for primary are 30 minutes, junior classes are 50-minutes, and intermediate and senior classes are 60-minutes.
1st Semester: September to December / 2nd Semester: January to March / 3rd Semester: April to June
An optional Summer Semester runs from June to August, at Centennial Hall, and offers flexible à-la-carte registration. Designed for dancers competing through the summer or those eager to maintain peak fitness, these sessions emphasize stamina and technique with challenging, high-intensity lessons. Fees are calculated individually to accommodate family holidays and varying schedules, ensuring students can balance training with summer plans. Private and semi-private lessons are also available for dancers seeking personalized attention.

Important Information About Fees for Dance Classes:
Students may attend one or two classes per week. Semester fees are adjusted accordingly at the beginning of the semester. Regular class fees are: $15 per student/class, multiplied by the number of classes scheduled per semester (no applicable taxes, at this time). All fees must be paid in full prior to the beginning of each semester. Methods of payment accepted: Cash or e-transfer.
No refunds or credits for students who miss classes during the semester. Any classes cancelled by the teacher due to inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances, will be rescheduled before the end of the semester.
If public health measures prevent in-person classes, virtual classes may be scheduled for Junior and Senior dancers. Arrangements for primary dancers will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may include rescheduling or delaying the semester.
Private and Semi-Private Lessons
Private and semi-private lessons are optional, available upon request and only provided if recommended by the teacher. Lessons are 60-minutes long for intermediate and senior dancers, and 45-minutes long for primary and junior dancers. Cost is $40.00 for an individual lesson or $60 for a pair of dancers (attending the same lesson), pay-as-you-go, at the beginning of each lesson. Five minutes of discussion and feedback is allocated at the end of each lesson (included in the allocated lesson time) for the teacher to discuss your progress, practice homework, and the next steps in your training.
